The term should not be confused with digital presence which simply refers to the different way a business may be represented in an electronic format. Though the same media/platforms are used – a website for example – digital presence implies passivity, while digital marketing is an active attempt to engage with potential clients. The key objectives of digital marketing are:

  2. To (actively) build your audience ie potential prospects.
  3. Ultimately to increase your sales.
